Feminine
This is the third blog on the the body series. I think through study about God, I have learned how special our God really is, and how we can apply it to our life's. Today you will learn about the feminine parts of God, and why God is so unique.
Some people have trouble talking about God having feminine attributes, I never heard anybody talk to me about these things. God is mother who comforts her children, (Isa 66:12-13). God is a comforter and he comforts his children. I looked in the dictionary for the word meaning of mother. One of the definition that stood out to me was, "to care for or protect like a mother". God is takes care of our every need, and God protects us from the big evils. A mother has to let their children make mistakes so they can learn from there mistakes. There is not many things that the bible says that God is a mother. One thing that stands out is the part in the bible where is saids, "God gave birth to Israel". But it seems like that was a figure of speech. You can find a lot more about the feminine traits of God but It would be traits similar to a father but just in a different position.
Now for my favorite thing to talk about that is so mind moving, it is something that makes your heart jump when you read it. I am going to be talking about how unique God is. There is not a lot to say about how unique he is because it is hard to get your mind around the thought of God being everlasting, and that knows everything. God is so unique he doesn't have a sex. God is both but he does not have the physical traits that a man or a women would have. So there are us man and women, then completely separate there is God. Mind blowing but it's true. The best thing about my God is that he is always there. Like my father he works so I do not get to spend time with him 24/7. The crazy thing about God is that he does his job and spends one on one time with each and every child at every moment of everyday. That is mind blowing that he takes the time to spend with JUST us and everyone else at the same time. That's all I have to really say about that. Also, when you read this I used "he" to describe God, thats because our natural thing it that we have always been told that he was a man.
I am going to take a break for the next couple blogs about the body of God, so I can get you caught up of what God is doing in my life. The next blog in the series of the body of God is going to be about how we are the body of Christ and how most Christians take this view lightly.

The Body Series (2)
Our Father who is in Heaven
This is the second blog in my series called "The Body Series". In this blog I am going to be talking about how God is a father and why he has the role as a father. We will also explore the masculine and feminine roles of God also.
In the New Testament, God is called "Father" 245 times. Why is God know as a Father then? One of the main reasons is of the importance of the Father-Son relationship that God has through Jesus Christ. Father in the dictionary is describe as a leader one the city, God is the most important leader ever in history so God fits the category as a LEADER. Another definition of a father is to be a creator, founder, or author of. Well God is the creator of all things, he is the author of the Bible, and the author of life; so he gets the title CREATOR. This next one is one of my favorites and I have two examples from the Bible. To acknowledge oneself as the father of, "Psalm 68:5 Father to the fatherless, defender of widows— this is God, whose dwelling is holy." God saids that he is the father to the fatherless. Does this mean that he is only Father to the fatherless? Well yes and no; yes because, if your father was/is hurtful to you in anyway it distorts who God is as a Father, no because, I have one of the most amazing fathers and when I hear of God I compare to my father to the Father, God does the most amazing things for me that my earthly father can't even come close to do. So we learn that God is a FATHER. So we learned that our God is a leader, creator, and Father. So those are also the masculine traits of God.
Next blog I will talk about the feminine traits of God and why God is so unique.

The Body Series (1)
The Body
The next couple of blogs is going to be about the body of God, the Church, and Us. When you talk about the body of God a lot of things comes to mind like, what does God's body look like if we are in his image, or that we are the body of God.
Well if we are the body of God, then we would go ahead and look at Jesus because he is God in the flesh. If Jesus is God then if we are the body of God, we need to truly be like Jesus. If we follow in the body of God, is should be called the Body of Christ, only to make more sense. Every person is made in the image of God so Jesus was also in the image of God. So knowing that does God look like Jesus? Well when you read in the first chapter of Genies, you read that God said, "Let the human beings be in our image." So right there God is talking about his angels or maybe what I was talking before, Jesus being the image.
Other translations would say, "He made them in the likeness of God." Which this makes more sense to me because, when he said likeness it saids to me, like his love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control. So when he said likeness he ment, like the way he acts.
I do not think that God has a body because God does not have a sex, he is neither man or women. If you have read the book "The Shack", it is probably the worst representation of who God is. In the book it said that God is a fat black women that makes cookies. That is so wrong on a lot of levels because if God had a sex it would be a man because God in flesh was a man. Jesus prays to God as Father. "Matthew 11:25"At that time Jesus prayed this prayer: "O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike." I pick the first verse that came up with Jesus praying. It saids "O, Father" not mother. God gets the name Father because a father has a authority and it also saids in the old testament that God is the Father to the fatherless.
Next blog I will talk a little bit more about God being Father. If you have any questions please comment or email me at jman1424@gmail.com.
