Christ As Center

Christ As Center

The reason for the season, Jesus. Every year at Christmas we hear from Christians, "Keep Christ in Christmas." No one has never really answered this question. So as a person that wants to keep Christ in Christmas, I am going to show you how I think we can tackle this task that we run into every year.

Starts With Us

Colossians 3:2

2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

During the Christmas season we are focused on shopping. Gifts are things that are earthly. Instead of focusing on gifts, we should focus on heavenly things like in verse 14, Love. We just need to love one another, and enjoy one another. I think we can all agree that it is more about the time we spend with our family and friends.

2. The Christmas Story

Read the Christmas story. If you have kids take the time and sit down as a family and read the story. You will always be reminded of the incarnation of Jesus. The incarnation of Jesus is God becoming man. Jesus was a real physical human being, he had to learn how to speak and how to walk. One more reason to thank Jesus for everything he has done for us.

3. What Changes?

If we keep Christ in the center of our lives. Why do we have a problem with keep him at the center of Christmas? Well it seems like Christians do not have a problem keeping Christ in Christmas. Why we Christians see it as a problem is because there is so many non-Christians that are taking the true meaning out of Christmas. It is our responsibility to show non-Christians the true meaning of Christmas.

4. JESUS

Thank Jesus. He has done more for us then we could ever ask or think of. He gives the true gifts. He gives us our spiritual gifts, gifts of hope, gifts of faith, and the best gift of all his GRACE.

It starts with you. You can change this pattern.
