1Chorinthains 12:12-19-One Body, Many Parts
Parts of the body work together to help us to stay alive. We have to have our different parts to keep us alive if we were one part what is our body. Just like the church you need everyone to work together for it to work, you see this church, in the book of Acts. In acts it saids, "All the believers were one in heart and mind." In Acts they were together they were on the same page, on what they wanted to live out.
Like all Christians are baptized in the Spirit of God but we are all different people. We come together as one body in the Spirit of God. God placed the parts in our body. Just as God places us in his body. If we were one part of the body there would be no body because there would have to be another part of the body.
You as a follower of Jesus is a part of the body. I need you to be a part of the body because without everyone there is not a body.
1Chorinthains 12:12-19
12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many. 15 Now if the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body.16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body.17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?18 But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.19 If they were all one part, where would the body be?
God let us be a people that are one in Spirit and in truth, let us treat our neighbors as a part of the body, open doors for us God to live out what you have taught us.
